BUMTHANG CULTURAL TREK
Day 01 Bumthang - Nganglhakhang
Day 02 Nganglhakhang - Ugyenchholing
Day 03 Ugyenchholing - Jaker / Bumthang
       
Day 01. Bumthang - Nganglhakhang
The Trek route follows the Chamkharchu river. Lunch stop at Thangbi Lhakhang then you enter to the "Swan Land" (Ngang Yul) with its center "Swan temple" (Nganglhakhang). This part of the valley was at first inhabited only by swans who gave their name (Ngang) to the place. O/N in Camp. (AIt.9500ft). Distance 20 KMS about 5 hrs.
       
Day 02. Nganglhakhang - Ugyenchholing
Climb gradually to Phephela pass (AIt.3353m/11000ft). the highest point on the trek route. The trial until the pass leads through one of the most beautiful forested areas of this region. Allowing for manystops to enjoy natures beauties. O/N in camp. (AIt.9300ft). Distance 23 KMS about 718 hrs.
       
Day 03. Ugyenchholing - Jaker/ Bumthang
The gradually descending trial follows the Tang chu, another trout filled river. Along the banks of this river is Tang Rimpoche Lhakhang. Distance 10 KMS about 213 hours. From Pangshing, drive to Jake r. (Alt.cir 9000ft). Enroute to Jaker visit Mebar Tsho " The Burning Lake". O/N in Wangdichholing Lodge.

GANGTEY TREK
Day 01 Gangtey Gompa - Gogona
Day 02 Gogona - Khotokha
Day 03 Khotokha - Chuzomsa, or Wangdi via Nizergang
       
Day 01. Gantey Gompa - Gogona
A moderate trail leads through meadows and fields,then ascends to the Tselela pass through mixed forest of Juniper, Bamboo, Magnolia and Rhododendron. The people of Gogona speak a language called Bjopkha the language of nomads. Their life in this isolated valley has encouraged them to continue using their ancient dialect. O/N in camp.
       
Day 02. Gogona - Khotokha
A gentle climb leads to Shobjula 11,155 ft. and then descends to a wide open valley. Overnight in camp.
       
Day 03. Khotokha - Chuzomsa, or Wangdi via Nizergang
A short climb to the Tashila pass 9,200 ft. Be sure to fill your water bottle shortly after crossing the pass, as the descent is dry. Walk down a long way through ever changing vegetation into the drainage of the Dhang Chu. O/N at the hotel in Punakha.

CHILILA NATURE TREK
Day 01 Paro   Chonana
Day 02 Chonana   Domselha
Day 03 Domsela   Ki tchu / Paru
       
Day 01. Paro Chonana
(AIt.3500m). Distance 14 KMS. The trek begins from Hotel Olathang. Most ofthe days walk is a gradual climb through Bhutanese farmhouses. The view of Paro valley from the trail is excellent. Overnight in camp at Chonana.
       
Day 02. Chonana Domselha
Distance 16 KMS. A superb trekking day. Uphill for about 5 hours, allowing for plenty of stops. The trail leads through forests filled with many species of Primula and Rhododendrons. Weather permitting views of the Himalayan range of Bhutan can be seen. Overnight in camp.
       
Day 03. Domselha Kichu / Paro
About 5 hrs of walking. The trail goes all the way down hill, following the old trail between Haa and Paro, through dense forests. The trek ends at Kichu Paro O/N at hotel Olathang.
