We are the Sherpas of the Himalaya and the mountains are our pride they are holy to us. We grew up to venerate these icy pinnacles as the abode of the gods. It is a matter of pride for us that one of the first two humans to set foot on the summit of Chomolungma, known to the world as Mt. Everest, was a Sherpa. Since that unforgettable day when Sherpa Tenzing Norgay stood on top of the world with Edmund Hillary, we have been known as mountain climbers. We have made a name for ourselves not only as born mountaineers, but also for our companionship, friendliness and hospitality that come to us naturally. Let us show you around our enchanting land -our monasteries humming with prayer, our religious masked dances, our idyllic and uncomplicated way of life, and our picturesque villages where prayer flags are always flying over our homes. We will take you along untrodden trails and over hidden mountain passes which only we know well. Let us be your guide on a magical experience. About the Founder Of The Company

| Our founding director, Mr. Kalden S. Paldorje Sherpa, has been leading treks since 1971. Mr. Sherpa was born in Khumjung, a small village at an altitude of 3,790 m on the lap of the Himalaya. He spent his early years in religious study in a Buddhist monastery and later entered school in Kathmandu, the first Sherpa to do so with a scholarship provided by Sir Edmund Hillary. He returned to Khumjung to teach at the Hillary School and also at Thame and Pangboche. Mr. Sherpa's remarkable resume continues with a three-year sojourn in Switzerland where he studiedTourism and Hotel management besides doing extensive climbing and skiing in the Swiss and French Alps, a training course in food & beverage management at Cornell University, USA, and travel to over 35 countries. |

We have been organizing and outfitting treks, adventure tours and mountaineering expeditions in the Himalayas for the last 30 years. Our managing director Mr. Kaldhen Sherpa is a Buddhist Religion Professor. Our sister concern Sherpa Travel Service specializes in Cultural, historical, artistic, rafting, wildlife Safari tours in Nepal, India, Tibet and Bhutan. We also offer Pilgrimage and mountain biking tours. |
